About Me

Hi, I’m Andrew.

I’ve liked guitars for many years. At first it was just simple curiosity. I was trying to find information about my Squier serial number. I wanted to know when it was made, but it was hard to find clear info online. I had to search many forums and old pages.

Later I got other guitars. Then I started looking up information about them too – the year, the country where they were made, and other details.

Step by step I began to collect this information for myself. I saved notes about serial numbers from different guitar brands like Jackson, Yamaha, Martin, Taylor, PRS, Gretsch and many others.

After some time I realized I had a pretty big collection of data. I also noticed that many other guitar players had the same problem. People often want to know when their guitar was made, but the information is spread across many different sites.

So I decided to put everything together in one place.

On this site I share the data I have collected. I also made simple tools that help decode guitar serial numbers. You can enter your serial number and quickly see the possible year and place where your guitar was made.

The tools are free to use. I keep adding new brands and new information when I find it.

If you have a question or want to share information, feel free to contact me. I hope this site helps you learn more about your guitar.
