Godin serial number is stamped on the back of the headstock, and on acoustic models, it can be found on the label inside the soundbox. The serial number systems for Godin guitars can sometimes be a bit complex but can usually be traced back to a date.
Samick serial number can be found on the back of the headstock or the neck plate, and on (semi) acoustic guitars, it may be located on the bottom inside of the body, either stamped or displayed as a sticker.
To find Höfner serial number, examine the back or the top edge of the guitar’s headstock. For semi-hollow and acoustic models, check the label located within the upper f-hole.
In case the serial number of an electric guitar is absent, it is possible to date your guitar by checking the potentiometers. The potentiometer codes can be observed on the back or side of the pots.
